Reflecting on RWM 2025: A Standout Success for RE-Tech UK
As we reflect on the success of 2025, RE-Tech UK was proud to exhibit at the Resource & Waste Management Expo (RWM), part of the UK’s leading event for waste, recycling and sustainability professionals. The event gave us a powerful platform to showcase our bebo product range, connect with key decision-makers, and demonstrate how our technology is helping fleets operate more safely and efficiently.
Meeting Fleet Operators and Local Authorities
Across the two days, our stand welcomed a fast paced stream of visitors from right across the sector. We met:
- Fleet operators and transport managers
- Fleet and business owners from a wide range of industries
- Representatives from local authorities keen to improve road safety and compliance within their own fleets
These conversations allowed us to discuss real-world challenges – from driver behaviour and brand protection to incident investigation and compliance – and to show how RE-Tech UK can provide practical, technology-led solutions.
Huge Interest in the bebo Range and Human Detection System
There was huge interest in our bebo product range, particularly our Human Detection System, which had already made the news in the weeks leading up to RWM. The system, designed to prevent waste vehicle operators being thrown into the back of the waste vehicle—a very hot topic for local authorities—and to identify rough bin sleepers before they are emptied into the waste vehicle, attracted a lot of attention from visitors keen to reduce risk around their vehicles. Many visitors commented that this type of technology is exactly what their fleets need to address blind spots, reduce accidents and protect both drivers and the public.
An Engaging Stand Experience
Before visitors even got into the details of our technology, they were drawn to our stand by a fun and memorable theme. Featuring Mr Bean, a bean bag game and fantastic prizes provided by The Cambridge Hamper Company, our stand created a welcoming, engaging environment that made it easy to start conversations.
This light-hearted approach helped break the ice with busy professionals, leading to meaningful discussions around serious topics such as safety, compliance, and cost control. Many great relationships were forged at RWM Expo and we look forward to developing these further over the coming months.
DMS Driver Monitoring System: Protecting Fleets and Brands
RWM Expo also gave us the opportunity to introduce more people to our wider bebo range, especially our DMS Driver Monitoring System. This solution was particularly popular with fleet owners and operators who are focused on reducing risk and protecting their reputation.
DMS is designed to identify unsafe driving behaviours in real time and promote safer habits behind the wheel. By monitoring indicators such as distraction and fatigue, it helps eliminate risk for fleet owners whose drivers are operating vehicles in their brand. The system supports:
